Law 12/2009, of 10 July, on Education (DOGC no. 5422 – 16.07.2009) determines in Article 11 of Section II that Catalan, as the language of Catalonia, is the language normally used as the vehicular and learning language of the educational system.
The fifth Key Skill Statement on Higher Artistic Education, specifies that graduates, upon the completion of the Conservation and Restoration of Cultural Assets course, must understand and use at least one foreign language in the field of their professional development [Royal Decree 635/2010, of 14 May (BOE no. 137 – 05.06.2010), which regulates the basic content of the higher artistic education course of the Bachelor’s Degree in the Conservation and Restoration of Cultural Assets].
Requirement for the issuance of the degree: Resolution EDU/3779/2021, of 21 December, amending Section 1 of Resolution ENS/62/2016, of 15 January, on foreign language accreditation for the issuance of certain degrees of higher artistic education (DOGC núm. 8571 – 27.12.2021).
