General Access Requirements

In accordance with that established in Article 16 of Royal Decree 1393/2007, of 29 October, in order to follow a master’s degree course you must be in possession of one of the following degrees:

  • An official Spanish university degree.
  • A degree issued by a higher education institution of the EHEA that entitles, in the country of issue, access to official master’s degrees.
  • A non-EHEA degree. In this case, with either validation with respect to an official Spanish university degree, or prior verification (by the ESCRBCC) will be necessary, affirming that these studies correspond to an educational equivalent to official university degrees and that authorisation is provided to access official master’s studies in the country issuing the degree. It must be noted in this case that the acceptance of an official master’s degree does not in any way imply the validation of the previous degree or its recognition for any purposes other than for that of pursuing a master’s degree.
  • Given that this is a blended master’s degree, a computer with Internet access will be required.

Specific Access Requirements

Those degrees that provide candidates access to the master’s degree are:

  • Higher degrees in the Conservation-Restoration of Cultural Property, issued by a Spanish Higher Educational Institution.
  • BA Degree in Superior Artistic Education in the Conservation-Restoration of Cultural Property, issued by a Spanish Higher School.
  • BA Degree in the Conservation-Restoration of Cultural Property, issued by a Spanish University.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Fine Arts, with a specialty or itinerary programme in Conservation-Restoration.
  • Degrees in the Conservation-Restoration of Cultural Assets; equivalent to a university diploma, issued by a Higher School of Conservation-Restoration of Cultural Assets.
  • Specific degrees or higher qualifications in the conservation-restoration of cultural property from Europe, or from other non-European countries.

Knowledge of languages at the B2 level of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR) of the Education Committee of the Council of Europe is necessary, in order to facilitate internships abroad for students.

Although the B2 level in a foreign language is not currently officially required for graduates in Higher Artistic Education (Resolution EDU/3779/2021, of 21 December, on the modification of Section 1 of ENS Resolution 162/2016, of 15 January, on foreign language accreditation for the issuance of certain Higher Artistic Education degrees : the Official Gazette of the Catalan Government, nº 8571 – 12.27.2021), it is very important that candidates possess knowledge of the English language. This is considered a merit, as stated in Point 5 of the following section of the Admission Criteria.

If the number of registrants exceeds the number of places offered, the allocation of places will be made in accordance with the following criteria:
